Sliding-jaw wrenches; shanks. - In an adjustable wrench of the kind in which one jaw member constituting the handle has longitudinal channels along each side leaving a central web and the other jaw member has a divided shank, the spaced legs of which slide along the channels, the legs c of the divided shank member fit the recesses on each side of the central web b of the handle member a along the whole of their length and adjustment is effected by a worm e mounted on a pin engaging teeth cl along one edge of the divided shank.
