In a wrench having a head piece 6 pivoted at 5 to the end of the handle 1 the head 6 having secured thereto a flattened cylindrical block 7 toothed at 7<SP>1</SP> and forming a first gripping member, an arcuate second gripping member 10 having teeth 10<SP>2</SP> is pivoted at 8 to the head 6, the jaw 10 being releasably held on the pin 8 by spring catch means whereby it may be removed, inverted and replaced. The locating pin 8 is received in a cylindrical bore 10<SP>1</SP> in the second gripping member 10 a groove 11 or the like being formed in the bore for engagement with the ball element of the spring catch 9 in the locating pin. Two arcuate gripping members for different ranges of nut sizes are provided, the second member 20 being retained at the other end of the handle on a reduced portion, by a nut 22.
