Abstract

818,530. Wrenches. BOWTER, A. V. Nov. 29, 1957 [Aug. 29, 1956], No. 26440/56. Class 61. A ring or box spanner is provided with an abutment 5 comprising a flat disc or ring magnet against which the nut or bolt head can bear. As shown the magnet is a flat ring having an aperture 7 for the passage of the shank of the bolt, the magnet being a press fit inside the crests of the notched opening in the ring head 3. A ring head 3 is provided at one or each end of the shank 1. In a modification a socket wrench is provided with a disc magnet press fitted into the notched socket opening. A square opening to receive a handle is provided in the head of the spanner. An insulating ring may be provided between the magnet and the notches.
