Abstract

842,080. Spanners. GRAMIGER A. G. GEB. Feb. 27, 1959 [Dec. 19, 1958], No. 7003/59. Class 61. A ratchet spanner comprises a hexagonally bored gripping ring 4, Fig. 2, rotatable within a bored head piece 3 secured to a shank 2 having a spring- loaded racthet pin 8 mounted within a bore 11 and engaging teeth 12 on the ring 4. The head piece 3 has a flange 11, Fig. 1, engaging one face of the ring 4 which is held in position by a split ring 6 located in an annular groove 7. The shank 2 may be bent and is secured within a handle 1 which may have a similar device at the opposite end arranged to rotate nuts in the opposite sense.
