580,305. Wrenches. TOUGH, A. J., and RUSTOK & HORNSBY, Ltd. June 28, 1944, No. 12334. [Class 61 (iii)] A multiple or other jaw spanner with the head rotatably mounted on the handle and adapted to be secured in any angular position, comprises rows of teeth 9, 10 on the adjacent faces of the head 1 and end of the handle 12, a screw 13 for clamping the toothed parts in locking engagement and a spring 20 for disengaging the teeth when the screw is relaxed. The spanner head may have a number of spaced jaw-apertures round its periphery and may be in the form of a stamping with strengthening webs between the jaw apertures.
