Abstract

1,271,778. Spanners. R. KYRIACOU. 12 Nov., 1970, No. 53899/70. Heading B3N. A tool for assisting in connecting an electric cable conduit to a junction box includes a socket 3 adapted to receive the flanged nut end F of a connector bush B and a locating finger 11 projecting or adapted to project from the socket. The depth of the socket is sufficient to accommodate flange F only, the base of the socket 9 is formed by the face of a nut which is a force fit in an extension of the socket. Finger 11 screws into the nut. Socket 3 is at one end of a body portion which has a waisted portion 13 and a detachable handle portion 19. Flats 17 and 21 are provided so that the tool can be turned by a spanner and there are transverse holes 15 for the accommodation of a tommy bar. The end of the body portion remote from socket 3 terminates in a rounded pinnacle (not shown).
