Abstract

613,891. Optical - projection systems. RAULAND CORPORATION, and SZEGHO, C. S. June 28, 1946, No. 19356. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group XL (a)] The luminescent screen of a television system is spaced from the nearest element of the optical projection system and is so curved concavely toward the latter and positioned that it coincides with the conjugate image of the flat viewing screen. The screen and target 6, 7 is of aluminium and the optical system is of two crown and two flint elements 2, 3, 4, 5, respectively. One element 3 may form part of the wall of the C.R. tube. In a modification, the target is transparent, e.g. of mica, with the luminescent screen on the side opposite the optical system. Pin-cushion and barrel distortion of the image may also be corrected by providing a rectangular magnet system surrounding-the scanning beam.
