[Class 122 (v)) A seal for a rotating shaft m comprises a bellows a connected through a flange ring b to the fixed body d and through a flange ring c to a stationary seal ring f. The rotating parts consist of a ring j and nut n screw-threaded onto the sleeve i. Contact between the stationary and rotating seal rings f and j is maintained by the spring g, and the nut b limits the extension of the bellows. Alternative constructions are described for securing the rotary seal ring j to the shaft m. Means are provided for supplying lubricant to the sealing surface through channels in the ring f and for relieving any excess pressure.
