[Class 122 (v)] An oil seal for bearings &c. comprises an annular rigid housing a containing a pair of flanged rubber &c. rings c, i, spaced apart by flanged rings f, h, and a partition ring g, to form a chamber to which grease may be supplied, the flanged portions of the rubber rings being of semicircular section and provided with ribs d3, m, pressed on to the shaft &c. by springs d, k. The end walls of the housing are curved to support the semicircular parts of the packing rings.
