570,660. Turning. TRIGGS, W. W. (Warner & Swasey Co.). May 3, 1943, No. 6975. [Class 83 (iii)] A tool-holder for the turret of a lathe or like machine tool has a shank 11 adapted to be secured by screws 13 in the recess 7 on one face of the turret 5 and carrying an extension 12 provided with a guideway for a tool-holder 14 in which the cutter 17 is mounted. A screw 21 is mounted in bearings 22, 23 on the shank 11 and co-operates with a nut 25 connected by a link 26 with the tool holder 14, the end 29 of the link being forked. A hand wheel 30 having a graduated dial co-operating with a fixed pointer 31 is secured to the screw for hand adjustment of the cutter and the arrangement of the screw 21 and hand wheel 30 below and to one side of the shank 11 enables other tools 8 to be used on the remaining faces of the turret and adjusted independently without interference between any of the tools or tool-holders with each other.
