Abstract

556,317. Tool hotders. HARRISON, A. March 27, 1942, No. 4053. [Class 83 (iii)] A tool holder for a lathe &c. has a shank 1 terminating in a part 2 which is grooved at 4 on both sides, the grooves being connected by a slot 5 through which passes the stem 10 extending from a slotted head 6 in which the tool 8 is secured by a bolt 13. The tool head, which is clamped by a nut 12, may be applied to either side of the shank and has a rib 9 engaging one of the grooves 4. The head is adjusted along the slot to vary the height of the cutting-edge.
