Abstract
929,033. Turning corresponding tapers. LUDWIGSBURGER MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. Sept. 14, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 32961/61. Class 83 (3). A machine for turning inner and outer corresponding tapers comprises a base 10 with a central vertical pillar 20 on which is mounted, for vertical and angular adjustment a headstock 40 with a rotatable spindle 42. Each end of the latter is provided with a workholder. The workpiece 44 is required to have an internal tapered bore and the workpiece 43 an external taper. A tool 70, carried on a vertically adjustable rest 65, is provided for the internal cutting and a tool 72 on a rest 62 for the external cutting. Both tool rests are supported on a common slide 12 which may be moved relative to the headstock by hand or automatically.
