703,058. Lathe details. HAYDEN, R. E. Oct. 7, 1952, No. 25152/52. Class 83 (3) A box tool for a lathe comprises a frame member 1 of U-shape, a shank 4 projecting from the cross limb of the frame to be carried by the lathe turret or tailstock, one limb 3 of the frame being offset from the common diametrical plane of the limbs and having means therein for adjustably carrying one or more tool bits, and a radially adjustable block 13 with two or more steady rollers 15 carried on the other limb 2, the shank being bored at 17 so as to receive interchangeable bushes to receive drills or other cutting tools. The arm 3 carries the tangentially arranged tool bit or bits which are pivoted about a pin, Fig: 3 (not shown), to facilitate positioning them during clamping.
