Abstract

606,835. Drilling. GROSSMAN, A. Jan. 21, 1946, No. 2014. [Class 83 (iii)] Jigs.-A jig for holding an extruded beam or other work-piece 10 and locating it with respect to a tool comprises an elongated base 12, a tool-controlling member 25 carried by and spaced from the base and a plurality of locating plungers 18 mounted at intervals along the base. The ends of the plungers are tapered and fixed blocks 15 are provided to assist in positioning the work. Pins 24 are provided on the blocks 15 to limit the upward travel of the plungers. The tool-controlling member carries bushes 28, is hinged to the base at 26 and secured by a cam-type latch 27.
