Class 83 (3) A milling machine comprises a face-plate @ mounted on a slide 13 adjustable transversely of a hollow work-spindle 11 by an eccentric threaded spindle 15, the face-plate and slide parts having openings which can be aligned to allow a collet chuck to be inserted in the spindle. The face-plate is angularly adjusted by a gauge 23 and locked by bolts 16. The collet 19 is actuated by a sleeve 20 sliding in a mounting piece 18 which is removed by a nut 21.
