[Class 83 (iii)] In a milling or other machine the tool or the workpiece is carried on a pivoted arm adjusted by a micrometer screw. The tool 1 is mounted on an arbor 2 carried by a pivoted arm 3. Adjustment of the arm is effected by a micro. meter screw 5 with graduated head 5b co-operating with a pointer 7. The load may be taken from the arm 3 during adjustment by a screw 10. The screw 5 may be locked by a screw 8. In a modification the screw 5 is threaded in a stationary part of the frame.
