Abstract
556,516. Tool holders. MILLWARD, H. Sept. 2, 1942, No. 12400. [Class 83 (iii)] A tool holder for a lathe &c. comprises a body a recessed at f to receive the shank g of the tool which rests on a support h having a convex lower surface coacting with complementary surfaces on the body. The support has a downward extension j coacting with screws k which may be adjusted to determine the height of the too] and to clamp the support. A top screw m and pairs of side screws n secure the tool shank. The upper part of the body may be a removable cover l. The body is secured to a T slot e by bolts c connected by a bar d. The tool shank may be formed with a stop to abut against the support h for determining the position of the tool point.
