[Class 83 (iii)] A tool-holder for a lathe &c. comprises resilient or hinged jaws, forming a socket for a ball-device of very slightly ovoid or out-ofcentre form, the ball-device being adapted to carry a tool and to be clamped in position by the jaws. The parts are generally constructed and arranged as described in Specification 636,772.
