823,213. Adjusting machine tool tables. FORTUNA-WERKE SPEZIALMASCHINENFABRIK A. G. Oct. 17, 1955 [Oct. 23, 1954], No. 29526/55. Class 60. A device for adjusting machine tool tables of the type wherein an upper table is rotatable on a lower portion 4 comprises a gauge 8 and an intermediate member 6 so mounted that movement of the upper table relative to the portion 4 is registered upon the gauge through the intermediate member. The member 6 is in the form of a lever which has its fulcrum at 19, engages a pin 31 of the gauge 8 and is deflected by a feeler pin 18 operated by a pointer 2 on the upper table. The pin 18 engages the pointer 2 at a distance A from the pivotal axis of adjustment of the upper table and the displacement of the pin 31 is related to the conicity of the workpiece by the ratio AC. To enable b the dimension C to be adjusted, the gauge 8 is mounted on a member which is loaded by a spring 13 and may be slidably adjusted in a guide 10 by a cam 14 provided with an operating knob 24, an indicator 25 and a clamping knob 27. The cam bears against an abutment edge 15 of an angle piece 5 which is clamped by a screw 21 and may be adjusted with the aid of an indicator 22 to vary the distance b. Screws 3 clamp the upper table after adjustment.
