567,192. Blow-pipe burners. SUFFOLK IRON FOUNDRY (1920), Ltd., and ROSENBERG, F..July 29, 1943, No. 12352. [Class 75 (i)] A blow-pipe burner comprises a cylindrical nozzle 8 and plug 16 secured by a threaded collar 5 to a threaded nipple 7 on a handle 1, the plug 16 being provided with an axial bore 17 and being reduced in diameter for a portion of its length to form an annular passage 22 to allow the gases such as oxygen and acetylene supplied through passages 19, 23 in the nipple 7 to pass through outwardly and inwardly inclined ducts 25, 24 in the top of the plug 16 to issue as alternating jets into a mixing chamber formed. in the nozzle 8 by two cones 26, 27 connected by a cylindrical bore 28.
