Abstract
1299229 Combined oil and gas burner MAX WEISHAUPT GmbH 6 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 16252/70 Heading F4T In a combined oil and gas burner of the kind having an axially adjustable swirler 4 arranged in front of an oil burner nozzle 3, and an annular gas supply conduit 12, all located within an air supply tube 1, the problems of oil mist formation around the swirler and inadequate mixing of gas and air are avoided by providing a further tube 14 within the gas supply conduit to form, with the oil burner sleeve 15, an annular conduit 16 for supplying air to the nozzle 3, and a perforated annular disc 18 between the swirler and the outlet of the gas conduit, the internal diameter of the disc being equal to the external diameter of the gas conduit, and the external diameter of the disc being greater than that of the swirler. The swirler 4 is disc-shaped and has a central aperture 5 and radial slits 6, covered by scoops 7, the aperture 5 having a diameter equal to or less than the inner diameter of the gas conduit 12.
