953,277. Burners for oil and gas. PRVNI BRNENSKA STROJIRNA, ZAVODY KLEMENTA GOTTWALDA, NARODNI PODNIK. July 31, 1962, No. 29424/62. Heading F4T. A liquid and gaseous fuel burner comprises a swirler 7 with vanes 11 to impart rotation to the combustion air for the liquid fuel discharged from a nozzle 1 projecting into the swirler 7, tubes 8 arranged around the periphery of the swirler to supply combustion air without rotation for the gaseous fuel discharged from holes 6 disposed around the tubes 8. Gas is supplied to a chamber 4 from a connection 3 and passes out through the holes 6 into the combustion zone 2. A conical wall 10 of the chamber 4 forms one side of the swirler 7 and has the air tubes 8 passing through it. An axially adjustable circular member 9 for controlling the swirling air is disposed at the inner periphery of the swirler 7.
