Abstract

1,094,094. Burners. B. E. ARTHUR. Dec. 3, 1964, No. 49290/64. Heading F4T. A burner comprises an inverted bowl 22, secured at its centre to a burner pipe 18, with a bowl shaped burner cap 24 mounted on it and spaced therefrom providing a uniform gap 26, the burner cap having perforations 30 about a continuous substantial part of its periphery 28 so that a ring of ignited gas issuing from the perforations is discontinuous at a section 32 of the periphery thereby allowing secondary air to enter inside the flame to complete the combustion. In the embodiment shown the burner is intended to screw into a pressure bottle containing for example propane, and the gas flowing out of the nozzle 16 mixes with primary air entering apertures 20 before burning.
