Abstract

1,224,073. Burners. COVENTRY RADIATOR & PRESSWORK CO. Ltd. 6 June, 1968, No. 26912/68. Addition to 1,135,666. Heading F4T. The gas burner claimed in Claim 9 of Specification 1,135,666 also comprises a tubular shield 56 coaxial with the tubular member 29 and arranged around the outlet nozzle 54 of tubular member 29 supplying a pilot mixture of gas and air but spaced inwardly from the outlet nozzles 22 of the main gas supply. The tubular shield 56 may include a row of radially directed bores adjacent its upstream end to allow a restricted flow of main mixture to reach the pilot flame within the tubular shield.
