562,062. Atmospheric gas burners. WELLMAN SMITH OWEN ENGINEERING CORPORATION, Ltd., and SCHIELDROP, B. H. Dec. 9, 1942, No. 17525. [Class 75 (i)] A gas burner comprises a gas jet 1 fitted with a central air supply tube 4 formed with perforations 6 directed forwardly and outwardly from the axis of the gas jet so as to produce a whirling mixture in the venturi passage of the burner block 3. The perforations 6 may be fitted with short projecting tubes or nozzles. The forward end of the tube may be rounded off or may be flat with the air passages formed therein. The gas jet may have its outlet end 2 tapered.
