Abstract

461,029. Pivoted-window regulators. NAPOLEON, B. Nov. 18, 1935, No. 31919. [Class 20 (iii)] An opening and closing device for pivoted windows, vehicle windscreens, ventilators, and the like comprises a slidable non-rotatable nut engaging a threaded spindle 1 attached to the frame of the window &c. 2 at a point concentric with the pivot. The nut is actuated by a rack 7 and hand-driven pinion 8 and is guided in a housing attached to brackets on the frame. A spring 11 and idle pinion 12 act on the nut to facilitate the movement. The end thrust on the spindle 1 is taken by pins 10 engaging a circumferential groove on the spindle.
