433,300. Roller blinds. WENHAM, G. H., 39, London Road, Bromley, Kent. Feb. 5, 1934, No. 3733. [Class 52 (v)] A spring - loaded roller blind d for a window, or acting as a visor or sun-shield &c. is provided with a friction - jointed linkage a<1>, a<2>, a<3>, a<4>, of the lazy - tongs type secured at one end to a stiffener c in the edge of the blind d and at the other end to a rigid anchor plate b which carries the blind roller, the links a<1>, a<2> being geared together to ensure that c is always parallel to b. Friction washers may be provided on the pins h between a<1> and a<2> and b and between a<1> and a<2> and an adjusting plate g<3>, and nuts screwed on the pins h and bearing on the adjusting plate are provided so that the frictional resistance to movement of the arms a<1>, a<2> may be regulated. If each pin h is provided with a separate adjusting plate the plates are provided with projections or have a non-circular hole to engage with a correspondingly shaped pin h so that no rotational movement can take place. The stiffened edge of the blind may incorporate a finger loop and the anchor plate b may be fixed to a motor car roof or windscreen &c. by adjustable brackets e.
