Abstract

440,785. Draught &c. excluders. WOOD, N., 4, Butts Road, Market Drayton, and LOCKETT, D. P., Hill Farm, Moreton Wood, Whitchurch, both in Shropshire. March 30, 1935, No. 17595. Divided out of 436,867. [Class 20 (iii)] A weather-excluding device for doors or windows comprises a resilient metal angle strip bl secured to the bottom rail of the door or window and constituting an attachment for an outwardly overhanging drip plate e. The drip plate may be formed with an upper flange el, Fig. 2, which is held by a turned over flange b<2> on the strip b<1>. The interconnected drip plate and strip b<1> may be secured as a unit by screws &c. f passed through holes in the interengaging flanges, or through eyeleted rivets which permanently connect the drip plate and strip. The device is described particularly as applied to a resilient strip having a lower projecting flange adapted to engage with a slot in the tread plate c described in Specification 436,867.
