On opening the door &c., the strip 2 automatically assumes the horizontal position shown in Fig. 3. On closing the door &c., the projection 6 meets a cam 5 pivoted on the door frame, and the hinged strip is forced to occupy the vertical position across the joint of the door as shown in Fig. 1.
