[Class 20 (iii)] Weather-excluding means for outwardly opening casement windows comprise resilient members 16, Fig. 1, at the sides of the sash and frame, adapted to engage when the sash is closed. At the hinged edge, a resilient bowed strip 7 enters a groove 5 in the sash, Fig. 3, and at the sill a hook-shaped strip 21 may engage a lip on a rigid sill-plate 17, Fig. 5.
