Abstract
306,293. Clarke, J. P. March 5, 1928. Draught, dust, and weather excluders. - A draught excluder, for casements or doors, of the kind in which strips fixed to the casement &c. and to the frame are adapted to interengage in a draught-proof joint when the casement is closed, .comprises a right-angled and a stepped member 5, 4 on the sash and frame, respectively, of non- corrosive metal. The raised part of the stepped member is outwardly curved to give clearance and when applied to the hinged edge is fixed to the sash, the right-angled member being fixed to the frame. When applied to the bottom of a door, the stepped member may be replaced by a recessed tread. The members may be lined with resilient material and beaded at the edge.
