Abstract
484,933. Draught and weather excluders. CALDERWOOD, J. Dec. 1, 1936, No. 32956. [Class 20 (iii)] A draught and weather excluder for sills or sides of doors and casements consists of a channel-section part 11 and a resilient part 16 anchored therein at one end 18 and adapted to engage the edge of the door &c. 21 at the opposite end 17. The end 15 of one flange of the channel is inwardly bent over the end 18 of the resilient part and the end 17 of the resilient part extends downwardly outside the side 12 and its inturned end 14. The channel is held in an inclined position resting on or sunk in the sill and drain holes 22, 23 are provided in the parts as well as an outlet 22a in the sill. The resilient part may be hinged to the channel and pressed outwardly by a spring. The limb 13 of the channel may be bent back to form a, support.
