Abstract
408,723. Draught-excluders for doors and casement windows. SHAW, A. W., and SHAW, H., 48, Bradford Road, Stanningley, near Leeds. Nov. 7, 1932, No. 31317. [Class 20 (iii).] A hinged-strip draught excluder for doors and hinged windows is adapted to make contact with the floor and a cover or shield on the door &c. when the door is closed. The strip is carried on a spindle by the flanges of the shield or members 9 secured thereto and is actuated by an extension 11 of the hinge arms which is adapted to engage a rib 12 secured to the sill. In casement windows, the strip may be adapted to enter a groove in the sill, which groove has a drain hole to carry away water.
