Abstract
568,633. Weather excluders for hinged windows. BARCLAY, N. Aug. 3,1943, No. 12490. [Class 20 (iii)] The frame and sash of a hinged window are provided with integral or attached C- form weather-excluding beads 13, 14 arranged as shown when the sash 11 opens inwardly. The larger bead is carried by an outwardly opening sash. A shield 16 is provided to cover the gap between the lower sash and frame members and a drain hole 17 is formed in the bottom of the bead 17. When the sash opens outwardly a shield may be mounted over the gap between the upper sash and frame member.
