Class 20(3) A half-drop vehicle window has internal grooves 12 on the upper bar 7 of the fixed frame and grooves 12 on the side of the dividing bar 2 facing the sash 3, whilst the abutting vertical faces of either the fixed frame or sash frame are grooved to form a weather excluding seal along the entire periphery of the sliding sash when it is closed. The upper bar 7 may be of reduced thickness so that handles 4 on the sash 3 do not project beyond the inner edge N of the window. The sliding sash may be guided by racks and pinions or by lateral guides.
