Abstract
676,992. Draught excluders. BROWN, T. A. Jan. 30 1950 [Dec. 3, 1949], No. 31080/49. Class 20(iii). A draught excluder for doors and windows con sists of an angle section rubber strip which is held by one flange in a slot in a wooder holder which i: secured to the door &c. or to the door frame, the other flange pro jecting so as to contact the door frame or the door when the latter is closed. In Fig. 1, an angle section rubber strip c is held in a holder d secured to the door frame b. When the door a closes, it compresses the strip c into a rebate e provided along the holder. In Fig. 7, the holder is secured to the bottom rail of the door so that the strip c is in contact with the floor h. The door has rising hinges f and g to lift the strip c over floor coverings when the door is opened.
