[Class 20(iii)] A draught excluder comprises a fixed channel-section wood part 20, a sheet metal part 13 secured to its inner face and overlapping and contacting the inner edge of a second sheet metal part 16 also attached to the wood part 20, the part 16 being resilient or resiliently mounted and extending from within the channel, at one side 11 thereof, towards but spaced from the outer edge of the wood part to engage a closure member 19. A flange 17 on the part 16 may extend into a rebate 14, and if the part 16 is resilient, a further flange 18 thereon may be fixed to the wood part 20, or if it is non-resilient it may be pivotally mounted and spring-loaded, stops being provided to limit the movement when the closure member 19 is withdrawn. The part 20 may have end walls, e.g. carrying extensions of the part 13, and drain holes 12, 12A may be provided. The device may be mounted above a doorstep, or let into a recess therein as shown, and the outer part only may lie between the jambs (i.e. from the outer face back to the line defined by the inner face of the closure member 19 in the position shown), the inner part, back to the member 13, being wider to overlie the inner faces of the jambs.
