Abstract

599,939. Draught excluders. GRIFFIN, W. Sept. 25, 1945, No. 24806. [Class 20(iii)] A draught excluder for fixing to the sides and top of the frame of a door or the like consists of a U- shaped mounting- strip 1 of metal or plastic with the end 3 of the outer web curved outwardly to form a side rib having a convex supporting face and with a rubber or like resilient strip 6 within, the tip of which makes sealing contact with the door. The end 5 of the inner web may be turned inwardly and in a modification, Fig. 4, the resilient strip 9 is provided with a web 10 which projects beyond the level of the inner web 11 of the the mounting strip. The mounting strip is secured in position by means of screws which pass through perforations in the strip.
