Abstract

612,630. Draught excluders. AVES, H. May 28, 1946, No. 16108. [Class 20(iii)] A draught excluder comprises a shutter 2 having a resilient strip 4 suspended by a straight lever 10 and two links 9, 11 pivoted in recesses 6, 8 in a casing 1 secured to the bottom of the door. A spring 13 is anchored to one end of the lever 10 and to one of a pair of staples 14, 17 so that the device may be reversible. A roller 18 for contacting the door jamb at the hinged side is provided at the end of the shutter. The lever 10 is provided with holes 15, 16 for securing it to the shutter in alternative positions so that the shutter may be lowered for use with worn steps. Specification 293,196, [Class 20(iii)], is referred to.
