Abstract
440,060. Draught-excluders for doors and windows. COOK, A. E., 23, Morley Street, Redfield, Bristol. Nov. 26, 1934, No. 33927. [Class 20 (iii)] A sliding-bar draught-excluder for doors and windows is carried on the bottom of the door by screws &c. and slots, and is actuated by inclines 8, 10, at both ends engaging corresponding inclines 7, 9 on the jambs. At the opening edge, the inclines are at right-angles to the plane of the door but at the hinged edge they lie in the plane of the door. The excluder is raised by springs and is protected by a rabbeted strip 11 of the section shown at 12, when fitted to the outside of the door &c. The excluder has a rubber beading 13, Fig. 2, and may be shaped to fit worn sills. Specifications 18987/92, [Class 20], and 270,466, [Class 20 (iii)], are referred to.
