794,197. Draught excluders. McPHERSON, D. Feb. 10. 195,6 [Feb. 11, 1955], No. 4076/55. Class 20(3) Weather excluding means for exterior doors comprise a metal trough-section strip 10, bedded on mastic 22 on the threshold 21, and a metal L-section strip 18, one limb 19 being screwed to the door 20, and the other limb 26 underlapping the return bend portion 16 of the strip 10. For an inwardly opening door, as in Fig. 2, the wall 13 provided with drain holes 17 is coplanar with the outer surface of the door when closed. For an outwardly opening door the smaller wall 12 is the outer one and contains the drain holes 17, and the limb 19 is mounted on the outside of the door. Vertical ridges along both longitudinal edges of the outside of the door co-operate with posts secured to the door frame to seal the sides of the door.
