Abstract

In a sill of the kind comprising a channel member A mounted under the bottom of a door B between the jambs and against the outer leg a of which the door B closes, so that the channel collects water running down the door to drain away through holes a<SP>4</SP> in the outer leg, the inner leg a<SP>1</SP> is formed with an undercut groove (and may be, a lead in groove) to receive a beaded strip D of flexible material, the blade d of which engages the underside of the door B in the closed position to act as a draught excluder. The outer face of the outer leg a slopes forwardly to deflect water passing down the door and over the leg a. The sill is recessed on the underside to receive a sealing material. The sill may be of extruded aluminium or other metal.
