496,628. Draught-excluders for windows. PERCIVAL, S. (Chamberlin Metal Weather Strip Co.) March 25, 1938, No. 9243. [Class 20 (iii)] A weather-excluding strip for steel windows having hinged or pivoted sashes consists of a resilient metal strip having an out. wardly bowed part 10 adapted to be attached to a member of the frame or sash and a bent ex. tension 4 to engage the edge of the sash or frame. Fig. 2 shows a section of pivoted windows opening on opposite sides, the hinged edges having strips on the sash at 10 and 24, whereas at remaining edges the strips are mounted on the frame. Wher the sash is centrally pivoted, the strips on one side of the pivot are mounted on the sash and or the other side and on remaining edges, on the frame.
