Abstract

516,316. Guide for sliding windows. WILMOTBREEDEN, Ltd., and SMYE, A. July 12, 1938, No. 20601. [Class 20 (iii)] A metal guide channel a for a sliding vehicle-window b is formed with beaded or turned over edges c which resiliently engage with the edges of the window. The base of the guide houses a strip d of soft rubber, felt, or the like which is held in place by shoulders e formed on the sides of the guide. The strip serves to prevent lateral displacement of the window. The Provisional Specification states also that instead of the rubber &c. strip, tongue-pieces may be pressed inwards from the base of the guide channel. Specifications 256,161, [Class 20 (iii)], and 378,889 are referred to.
