483,749. Preventing draughts and rattle in doors and windows. BRACKEN, T. D. Nov. 2, 1936, No. 29713. [Class 20 (iii)] Draught - excluding and rattle-preventing means for doors and hinged windows, more particularly of vehicles and aircraft, comprises a wedge-shaped rib E on the top, bottom, and striking edges of the door or the like, adapted to engage a corresponding groove on the frame with a lining D of rubber or cushioning material interposed. The rib and groove may be formed of bent metal having attachment flanges, or may be integrally formed on the door and frame, e.g. by stamping, and the rib may be on the frame and the groove on the door. The rib E may have a Hat or curved crown.
