Abstract
390,078. Reversibly pivoted sashes; draught-excluders. COOK, A. E., 23, Morlev Street, Redfield, Bristol. Oct. 4. 1932, No. 27510. [Class 20 (iii).] A window sash of the kind which is reversibly pivoted on central vertical pivots 3, 4 is provided with a hingedflap draught-excluder 21 at the upper outer edge, which is closed by a roller 27 on a bracket secured to the sash near one end thereof when the sash is closed, and with an inner sliding draught-excluder 10 slidably held by springs 14 on stops 13 and raised by hand. The pivots are housed in detachable angle-plates 8, the top pivot having a spring washer and adjusting nut 18. A ball race may be provided on the pivot.
