729,485. Window stays. RAWLINGS MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Oct. 30, 1953 [Sept. 24, 1952], No. 23950/52. Class 65(1). [Also in Group X] A hinged window 2 is held either in the closed or in the open position by a telescopic link, the outer member 6 of the latter being pivoted to a bracket 9 on the fixed frame 5, and the inner member 8, which is urged outwardly by a spring 7, being pivoted by a pin 15 to a bracket 10 on the outer edge of the window; the open position of the window being determined by the engagement of the pin 15 with an end of a slot 14 formed in a longitudinal extension 13 of the outer member 6. The window 2 constitutes a narrow ventilating pane which surmounts a fixed larger window pane as used at the front end of the upper and lower decks of public vehicles.
