Abstract

399,282. Vehicle-window regulators. SLEIGH, H. L., CHESTON, A. S., and STUART, F. J., Widney Works, Bagot Street, Birmingham. June 20, 1932, No. 17345. [Class 20 (iii).] The actuating- mechanism for a window regulator for vertically sliding windows of vehicles and the like is mounted on the top sash of the window. The mechanism may comprise self-locking worm gearing driving a spindle 15 and pinions thereon engaging fixed roller racks 6. The racks are positioned in channel members 3 into which the pinions protrude. A tubular housing 8 is mounted on the top rail 7 of the window sash for the spindle and part of the actuating mechanism.
