Abstract

435,915. Window and ventilator regulators. LUXFER, Ltd., and BATES, E. L., 16, Hill Street, Tabernacle Street, London. March 8, 1935, No. 7367. [Classes 20 (iii) and 137] A regulator for a pivoted window or ventilator comprises a rack or the like 5 longitudinally movable by handle and pinion 14, with or without reduction gear, and operatively connected by a slotted extension 6 to an eccentric pin 8 on a disc 9 on the sash housed in a recess in the frame. The sash pivots are mounted on the discs 9. A spring-pressed rounded stud and a recessed casing 27, Fig. 9, may be provided to hold the handle yieldingly in various positions, or a cross-pin on a spring- pressed sleeve on the handle may act as holder. The handle and gearing are carried by a slotted casing 18 screwed to the frame. The rack may be used for two or more sashes &c. and may then be adjustable by a coupling member accessible through a removable panel in the frame. A locking device for the closed position may consist of a spring-pressed stud 31 in the handle engaging an apertured bracket 32 and provided with a thumb-piece 33.
