Abstract

The fibrous filler of the plasticized chlorinated rubber floor composition as described in the parent Specification is substituted in part by finely ground fibrous chlorinated rubber having a high chlorine content. Fibrous chlorinated rubber suitable for the purpose may be made by the method described in Specification 402,454. Preferably, the fibrous chlorinated rubber does not comprise more than 15 per cent of the final product. The fibrous filler suitable consists of a mixture of one part by weight of finely ground chlorinated rubber and more than one part of cork dust. The plasticizer of the chlorinated rubber mass may be a chlorinated paraffin wax, as described in Specification 443,645.
